After playing a scrimmage game on Wednesday, the first time they’ve done so since exiting their quarantine period, Hockey Canada announced on Thursday that seven players have been cut from Selection Camp.
Of those seven roster cuts, two of the players were goaltenders while the other five skaters were forwards. No defensemen have been cut as of now.
Goaltenders:
Tristan Lennox: Saginaw Spirit, (OHL)
Brett Brochu: London Knights (OHL)
Forwards:
Shane Wright: Kingston Frontenacs (OHL)
Adam Beckman: Spokane Chiefs (WHL)
Tyson Foerster: Barrie Colts (OHL)
Cole Schwindt: Mississauga Steelheads (OHL
Hendrix Lapierre: Chicoutimi Saguenéens (QMJHL)
With two goaltenders being cut, it appears as though they’ll enter the tournament with Dylan Garand, Taylor Gauthier and Devon Levi, as the starting trio for the Canadian Junior National Team.
