Player Notes
Quinn is one of the sleepers picks heading into the first round of the NHL Draft this summer. Most people have him going anywhere between 10-15, but I think that he sneaks into the top ten. The 18-year-old is one of the older players in the OHL and missed draft eligibility last year by four days.
He had 52 goals and 37 assists for 89 points in 62 games this past season with the Ottawa 67’s. However, this is his second year in the OHL and he’s putting up crazy numbers compared to his rookie season where he scored only 12 goals and 20 assists for 32 points in 61 games. This breakout year could be the start of big things moving forward for Jack Quinn.
The Ontario native plays a very similar game to Brendan Gallagher as he’s one to hang around in front of the net. He’s got a decent shot and speed and plays an overall solid game. One part of Quinn’s game that’s lacking is he’s not one to look to find the open man.
Most of his assists this season came from goals that came off shots he took originally. Expect to see Quinn make the jump to the AHL or NHL next season.
