On Thursday August 6th, the Worcester Railers announced the re-signings of defensemen Myles McGurty and forward Tyler Poulson for the upcoming season.
For Myles, he spent the last two years in the ECHL between Rapid City and Orlando. He was then traded back in February to the Worcester Railers in exchange for Dante Salituro. While with the Railers last season, McGurty scored a goal and an assist in nine games played before the season was cancelled.
Poulson started in the ECHL during the 2017-18 season when he signed with the Allen Americans after spending three years at Alabama-Huntsville. In 2018-19, he, much like McGurty, played for Rapid City where he was dealt to from the Allen Americans and scored 25 goals before joining Worcester. After his trade to the Railers, he added four goals and an assist in 10 games.
Both players joined the Railers in a trade with Rapid City back on February 18th. The Railers are the ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s New York Islanders and the AHL’s Bridgeport Sound Tigers.
