TORONTO, ONTARIO, MARCH 26 —
In association with founder John Robinson and BallTalkers Podcast Media, The Puck Authority is pleased to announce the addition on Friday of the Off The Ice morning show. In announcing the multi-platform agreement, The Puck Authority introduces to the podcast network a brand new endeavour in an interactive livestream format.
Spearheaded by Katherine Pitre of SheScores Media and Samantha Siciliano, Off The Ice is a hockey culture podcast that covers everything hockey, addressing important subject matters. Touching on hockey’s biggest conversations, such as racial injustice and gender inequality, Off The Ice also covers recent news, as well as live games and scores from men’s and women’s pro hockey. This includes, but is not limited to, the NHL, NWHL and PWHPA.
Heard on the biggest audio platforms, such as Google Play, Apple Podcasts and Spotify, Off The Ice believes in equality and inclusion, thus, strongly following the groundwork of the Hockey is for Everyone Campaign. As the show’s co-creators, Off The Ice and everyone behind it believes the sport “should be inclusive and accessible to everyone.”
Putting both men’s and women’s hockey on an even playing field with equal exposure, Off The Ice seeks to build a vast audience of not only fans, but personalities and players. More importantly, they seek to inject passion and likeminded people with the same objectives at heart.
That includes growing the hockey community to follow their two key pillars in inclusion and diversity. Katherine Pitré is currently a sports journalist, as well as the co-host of the In League Podcast. Also found in FNews Magazine, Katherine Pitre is a sports media personality.
Samantha Siciliano is an Emmy-Award winning associate producer, as well as the Lead Hockey Instructor for the Junior Rangers Girls League initiative.
