Scouting Notes:

Tyler Kleven is a player who definitely needs more work, but is starting to produce into a solid defensemen. The 6’2 defencemen isn’t afraid to throw the body around on the ice and his physicality is the strongest part of his game at the moment. He’s got a solid shot from the point, but is stronger on the defensive end of the ice. Getting the legs going has been a problem for Kleven as it takes him a little bit to get up to full speed.

Next season could be a big year for Kleven as he’s headed to North Dakota and will be joined by teammate Jake Sanderson on the blue-line. Expect him to spend at least two years in North Dakota before making the jump to the pros.
