Scouting Notes:

Suni is coming off his first year in the OHL after spending the past three years in Finland. In 43 games with the Generals, he scored 12 goals and 20 assists, this making for a total of 32 points. Now, it goes without saying he wasn’t playing in the top league in Sweden and I think that’s going to hurt his value as a lot of teams haven’t been able to get a good look at him. However, he had three assists in three games during the 2019 Hlinka Gretzky Cup as well as putting up three assists in six games played during the U-17 World Hockey Classic in 2019.

The 18-year-old winger is a playmaker with some upside as well as being able to use his body well. I believe that we could see Suni end up going early in the third round as he’s still adjusting to the North American game. He’s gonna be a guy whose gonna play a gritty game and could see time as a mid-six winger if he’s able to round out his game in the next few years.
