Scouting Notes

Sourdif is a reliable two-way forward with offensive upside. The Vancouver Giants center is hard-working and is quite effective in front of the net. He is really good at tracking pucks in front of the net and converting rebounds for dangerous scoring chances.

While Sourdif may not be the biggest player, he is able to battle hard against bigger defenders to maintain positioning in front of the net and keep control of pucks. He is quite sneaky and does a great job positioning himself in places to receive passes in the slot and get control of rebounds. Sourdif has a good shot and is able to deceive goaltenders with his quick release and puck skills.

Sourdif also has quite an underrated shot. Although he is constantly positioned in front of the net to create offence, Sourdif has a blazing fast wrist-shot that can beat goaltenders from tough areas. In addition to his offensive upside, his 200-foot game is quite impressive.

He back-checks hard and is aggressive in puck battles along the boards. Despite his size, he battles against much bigger players and is able to come out with the puck frequently.
