Scouting Notes:

When watching Jan Mysak, there’s one part of his game that really shines and that’s his play on the penalty kill. Mysak is always creating offensive opportunities while down a man. He’s got speed and finds his way through defenders in odd-man situations, even if it’s to get a weak shot on net. The puck comes off his stick quickly. Along with the strong offensive game, Mysak isn’t afraid to throw the body.

The 17-year-old winger has already seen time in international play as he played for Czech Republic in the World Junior Championships earlier this season. However, he only played in 22 games in the OHL with the Bulldogs this season after coming to Canada. In those games, he put up 15 goals and 10 assists for 25 points. Another year in the O will certainly benefit the Czech-born winger and he is poised to be a very strong forward once he finds his way to the NHL.
