Scouting Notes:

Perfetti is easily one of the smartest players in this year’s draft class and could possibly sneak into the top five in the opening round of the draft. He’s always in the right place on the ice and has a knack for setting up his teammates. The 18-year-old’s numbers this past season were insane as he scored 37 goals and 74 assists in 61 games.

His assist numbers almost doubled from last season in which he played an additional two games. A strong shot from anywhere on the ice is another strong point of his game. However, there is one area where he needs to improve and that’s in the face-off circle, but that doesn’t hurt his ranking.

Despite his size, the Whitby, Ontario has the ability to be the quarterback on the power play once he hits the NHL level. There’s no question that with how well he’s producing in the OHL, it’s only a matter of time until we see Perfetti in the NHL.
