Scouting Notes:

Drysdale enters the draft as the top defensemen in this year’s class and is expected by fans and scouts to be off the board within the top 10 draft picks. When watching Jamie Drysdale, you find something that you don’t find in many defensemen and that’s a guy who is going to use his snapshot and wrist shot more often than a slap-shot from the point. He won’t be as physical as most defensemen, but has a knack for breaking up odd-man opportunities from opponents. He’s got a way of being able to find his teammates and set them up in the offensive zone and his skating abilities are superb.

The 17-year-old defensemen isn’t gonna be a guy whose gonna sit back on plays. He’s gonna be a guy whose going to be all over the ice. Now, as I mention that Samuel Girard is his NHL comparable, I believe that Drysdale brings a unique game and can’t be compared to anyone in the NHL as he does a lot of things that could be pieced together from multiple NHL’ers. Expect Drysdale to be a big name once he hits the ice in the NHL.
