On Friday August 28th, the Norfolk Admirals announced the re-signing of Canadian forward Taylor Ross. The two sides agreed to terms on a standard player contract for the upcoming season. Ross was acquired in a trade with the Fort Wayne Komets back on January 20th.
He was joined by defensemen Brycen Martin while bringing the speed that the Admirals need. Before entering the ECHL, Ross played 117 games in the WHL with the Lethbridge Hurricanes. During those two seasons, the right-winger recorded 53 goals along with 54 assists for 107 points. This included 34 goals which Ross amassed in 2018-19.
Ross, a native of Saskatchewan, now enters his second year in the ECHL. Last season, he scored the lone goal for the Admirals in his Norfolk debut back on January 24th. The 22-year-old played 19 games where he netted three goals for a total of 10 points. He also added seven assists.
