On Tuesday, October 6th, the Reading Royals announced the signing of rookie forward Cameron Strong for the upcoming 2020-21 season. Strong has been signed to a standard ECHL contract; the first professional contract of his career.
Before turning pro, Strong played four years of NCAA hockey with Dartmouth College. He played 119 games at the collegiate level where he recorded a total of 22 goals and ten assists. He was named alternate captain during his senior season in 2019-20.
Cameron Strong is the tenth forward signed to Reading so far for their upcoming 20th anniversary season. Over half the current Royals roster is made up of players returning from last season. The newly signed 25 year old left winger hails from Billings, MT. He stands at six feet tall and weighs 179 pounds.
“We continue to fill in pieces that will make our team a competitor and Cam fits into that. He is coming off a strong college career in a competitive conference and his skating ability will give him the opportunity to contribute to our line-up.” said Reading Royals Head Coach, Kirk MacDonald.
