Railers Bring Back Drew Callin And Ross Olsson for Upcoming Season

On Tuesday June 15, the Worcester Railers announced that they have re-signed centerman Drew Callin and right-winger Ross Olsson for the 2020-21 season.

Olsson returns for his third season for the Railers after a four-year stint at Endicott College. He joined Worcester in 2018-19 while skating seven games with two goals and two assists. Last year for the hockey club, Olsson played in 51 games where he netted 12 goals while also adding eight assists.

For Callin, he is also coming back for his third season in the ECHL. Callin joined the team in 2018-19 after playing spending four years at Bentley University. He played six games for the Railers that year where he scored three goals while also adding one assist. Last season, he skated in 54 games where he scored 14 goals along with 11 assists.

Both players are expected to have an impact as leaders offensively with respect to scoring. Callin was fourth in scoring on the team while Olsson was behind him in fifth last season. With one of the Railers top scorers, Barry Almeida, retiring recently, I think that one of these players will likely step up to fill his shoes come next season.
