Montreal Canadiens Re-Sign Victor Mete To One-Year Deal

The Montreal Canadiens announced on Friday that they’ve signed Victor Mete to a one-year contract extension. As per the club announcement, the deal includes an AAV of $735,000. Mete completed the season with 11 points in 51 games played.

Walking in at five-foot-nine and 183 pounds, the defensemen also added 20 penalty minutes, however, he posted a +5 differential. Mete appeared in 10 games in the NHL playoffs against the Flyers and Penguins. In doing so, he recorded two assists.

A native of Woodbridge, Ontario, Mete’s played three seasons in la belle province. During his time with the Habs, the lefty has recorded four goals along with 27 assists for 31 points. He also adds a +27 differential.
