On Thursday September 10th, the Indy Fuel announced the signing of Canadian forward Colton Leiter. The two sides agreed to terms on a standard player contract for the upcoming season.
Leiter joins the Indy Fuel after playing four seasons of collegiate hockey. He did so in the NCAA where the forward competed with the Alaska Nanooks. During his tenure at school, Leiter scored 28 goals along with 35 assists for 63 points. He did so in 137 games while also adding 146 penalty minutes.
Before Leiter committed to the hockey team, the rookie spent three seasons skating with the Spruce Grove Saints in the AJHL. Standing at six-foot-one, the righty scored 37 goals along with 49 assists for 89 points. He did so in 139 games. Leiter, 24-years-old, also helped guide the Saints to win back-to-back championships.
