On Tuesday August 18th, the Florida Everblades announced the re-signing of American forward Darik Angeli. This will be his second season with Florida after having been traded from the Norfolk Admirals. During the 2019-20 season, Angeli totalled 46 points in 57 games between the Cyclones and Everblades.
Angeli made the jump to pro at the start of the 2015-2016 season. He did so with the Manchester Monarchs before being loaned to the Portland Pirates. While he remained in the AHL, Angeli was loaned to the Manitoba Moose. During his first season of pro, Angeli scored seven goals along with 12 assists for a total of 19 points. While adding on only 12 penalty minutes, he managed to do so in 61 games.
Over the next few seasons, Angeli went on to play for the Colorado Eagles, Norfolk Admirals, Tulsa Oilers, Rapid City Rush and Orlando Solar Bears in the ECHL. Seeing more time in the AHL, he also played for the Tucson Roadrunners. Over the course of his career, the 29-year-old has amassed 178 points.
