On Tuesday August 25th, the Florida Everblades announced the re-signing of Canadian forward Levko Koper. This will be Koper’s third season with the Everblades hockey club in Estero, Florida. During the 2019-20 season, Koper recorded 10 goals along with 23 assists for 33 points. He amassed these totals over 33 games.
Before heading to university, Koper competed for five seasons in the Western Hockey League with the Spokane Chiefs. There, he put up 97 goals and 129 assists for 226 points. He managed to do so in 330 games. He also won the Memorial Cup back in 2008 during his third year of junior.
Koper was drafted by the Atlanta Thrashers 185th overall back in 2009. After having been selected, he played for the Alberta Golden Bears, scoring 139 points in 140 games.
Koper made his pro debut in 2015-16 with the Cincinnati Cyclones. He then went on to play for the Charlotte Checkers of the AHL. Following that, he spent time with the Florida Everblades before heading overseas to play in the DEL.
During his two years in Europe, Koper played for the Straubing Tigers, HC Banska Bystrica and HC Innsbruck. Koper then returned to the Everblades where he has since proven be a standout left-winger.
