On Tuesday August 4th, 2020 the Allen Americans continued their recent trend and announced the re-signing of defensemen Cole Fraser. Fraser will rejoin the Americans blue-line for the 2020-21 season. Fraser played 36 games for Allen this past season where he racked up four goals along with four assists. As such, he amassed eight points while also adding on 84 penalty minutes.
The 6’2, 210 pound 20-year-old will celebrate his 21st birthday before the end of August. Fraser, a native of Ottawa, played his junior hockey career in the OHL. Over four seasons with Peterborough, Fraser scored 54 points while also adding on 277 penalty minutes. Fraser posted on his Twitter account that he is’ “Super excited to be back in Allen for another year, can’t wait to get things started!”
Fraser rejoins the Allen Americans defensive corps that includes the previously announced Les Lancaster and Cody Corbett. With the signing of defensemen Cole Fraser, the Americans bring back an element of toughness to the skilled defensive group led by head coach Steve Martinson.
