Adirondack Thunder Acquire Brett Beauvais From Greenville Swamp Rabbits

The Adirondack Thunder continue to bolster up their defensive core as they have acquired defensemen Brett Beauvais from the Greenville Swamp Rabbits in exchange for future considerations.

Beauvais has spent the past two years in the ECHL with the Kansas City Mavericks and Greenville Swamp Rabbits. He has put up a total of two goals and 11 assists for 13 points in 58 ECHL games played.

How Does This Help the Thunder

So far this season, the Thunder have been giving up 3.34 goals against per game. They have also given up 150 goals this season, including giving up at least four goals in 19 of their 43 games this season. The move comes as a bit of the shock as the Thunder acquired Alex Jaeckle a few weeks ago from the Norfolk Admirals.

Beauvais will look to crack the lineup on Friday night for Adirondack as it would be hard to imagine that he’ll be at practice tomorrow and the Thunder have a game on Wednesday night. If Beauvais is able to crack the lineup, expect Tommy Parran or Colby Sissons to find their way out of the lineup. Despite Sissons, 22, starting to play better on the Thunder blue line, he has four goals and 20 assists for 24 points in 38 games.

Sissons, an Alberta native, is a -16 on the year. Parran has two goals and two assists in 33 games, but is +5 on the season. It will be interesting to see how Adirondack decides to rotate their defensemen after this trade.
