Worcester Railers Agree To Deal With Jacob Hayhurst

On Thursday August 13th, the Worcester Railers announced the signing of Jacob Hayhurst for the upcoming season. Jacob played the 2015-16 season in the USHL with the Ceder Rapids RoughRiders. Through the 52 games he played there, Hayhurst collected eight goals along with 17 assists which made for 25 points.

From the 2016-17 season to the 2018-19 campaign, Hayhurst played with RPI in Division I hockey in the NCAA. During the 2016-17 season, the forward racked up seven goals along with 13 assists in 37 games played. Following that, in 2017-18, he recorded 12 goals to go along with 11 assists. In his senior year at RPI, Hayhurst played 29 games where he scored three goals along with 20 assists.

Last season, with the University of Michigan, Jacob played 36 games where he netted eight goals to go along with seven assists. Jacob is an exciting addition to the Railers roster and I expect he will be high up on the team’s goal and assist list.

The Railers are the ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s New York Islanders and the AHL’s Bridgeport Sound Tigers.
