Scouting Notes:

Tyson Foerster comes into the 2020 NHL Draft with some uncertainty where he’ll be selected during the draft. Future Considerations has him ranked at 38 while Eliteprospects.com has him ranked at #58. I believe that he’s gonna go early in the second round.

Foerster started making a name for himself on September 28th in a game against the Mississauga Steelheads. He recorded three goals and three assists during that game. The 18-year-old forward finished the year with 36 goals and 44 assists for 80 points in 62 games. He then was named MVP during the CHL Top Prospect’s game.

Foerster loves to score from the left circle which is reminiscent of Alex Ovechkin. His shot is the only part of his game that really stands out, but plays a very-well rounded game. It will be very interesting to see how Foerster adjusts to AHL action once he’s able to make that jump.
