Scouting Notes:

Right-winger Seth Jarvis has skyrocketed up the rankings for many scouts as he is having one of the better second half performances out of any draft eligible prospect for 2020. He’s got a lot of qualities teams look for in players and seems to add a good combination of skill and work in order to get the job done. He’s not big at just 5’10 and 170lbs, but he always finds himself around the net when his line is producing. He has produced at every level and is having a great season overall with Portland.

His game is very similar to Brendan Gallagher of the Montreal Canadiens. Both are undersized players who focus their game around being a presence in front of the net. They both score at the junior level.

Gallagher had three consecutive 40 goal seasons to end his junior career while Jarvis just eclipsed the 40 goal plateau not too long ago. The one thing Jarvis has over Gallagher is his hands as he can manipulate the puck very well in order to deke either goalies or players.
