On Monday July 7th, the ECHL’s Norfolk Admirals agreed to a contract with forward Cody Milan. Milan joined the Admirals in the offseason for the 2020-21 season in order to complete a trade that took place in February. As part of the trade with Cincinnati, the Admirals acquired Darik Angeli, Scott Dornbrock, Freddy Gerard and future considerations in exchange for captain Ben Holmstrom and Johnny Coughlin.
Milan, 24-years-old, completed his first pro season with the Cincinnati Cyclones. Prior to making the jump pro, Milan played four years at Michigan State University. Cody Milan was in the top-five in points as both a junior and senior as a Michigan Spartan.
While playing with the Cincinnati Cyclones, Milan registered eight goals and 29 assists in 49 games played. Unfortunately, the Cyclones didn’t play against the Norfolk Admirals in the shortened 2019-20 season. With that being said, I, for one, am excited to see what Milan can bring to Norfolk next season.
