Indy Fuel Trade Darian Skeoch To Allen Americans For Bleackley, Doetzel

On Tuesday April 13th, the Indy Fuel announced the acquisition of a forward and defensemen from the Allen Americans. Along with future considerations, Indy acquired Conner Bleackley and Kayle Doetzel in exchange for defensemen Darian Skeoch.

Skeoch leaves the Indy Fuel after having skated in just 13 games. While with the Fuel, he didn’t get on the scoreboard, but tallied 18 penalty minutes and a Plus/Minus of -1.

Bleackley arrives in Indy after 32 games with the Allen Americans this season. During the time he spent there, the forward racked up nine points, having scored four goals along with five assists. Overall, he’s played in 119 games, scoring 39 goals along with 48 assists. The native of High River, AB also put up a total of 131 penalty minutes.

Standing at six-feet tall and 192 pounds, Bleackley’s also appeared in 133 AHL games. Between six AHL teams, he’s amassed 11 goals along with 22 assists. The 25-year-old, back in 2014, was a first-round draft pick of the Colorado Avalanche. He was selected 23rd overall. Prior to making the jump pro, Bleackley spent five years playing with the Red Deer Rebels in the WHL. Playing in 259 games, Bleackley scored 80 goals along with 103 assists.

Doetzel joins the Indy Fuel following 28 games with the Allen Americans this season. There, he collected seven points, having scored one goal along with six assists. He also tallied 33 penalty minutes. Overall, he’s played in 194 games, racking up eight goals along with 26 assists. This has made for a total of 34 points. The native of Saskatoon, SK also put up a total of 200 penalty minutes.

Much like Conner Bleackley, Doetzel’s seen AHL ice time, having played in a total of 68 games. During the three seasons he spent with them, the 25-year-old has tallied four assists. The defensemen from Western Canada stands at six-foot-two and 194 pounds. Prior to making the jump pro, Doetzel spent five years playing with the Red Deer Rebels in the WHL. Playing in 292 games, the righty racked up five goals along with 49 assists.

Upon arrival in Indianapolis, the new forward was placed on team suspension by the Fuel. While he won’t be with the team for the time being, the the organization still owns his rights.
