On Friday, August 6, the Indy Fuel announced the signing of American forward Quin Foreman. Foreman agreed to terms on a standard player contract for the upcoming season.
Foreman, 25-years-old signs his first pro contract with Indy after spending four years playing in the NCAA at Dartmouth College. In his rookie season, he would go on to win the Booma Award as the team’s rookie of the year as he put up eight goals and 11 assists for 19 points in 34 games. The following year he would lead the team in scoring 28 points and was tied in assists with 15 and led the team in powerplay goals with five. In his final year at Dartmouth, he would be named the Ledyard Classic MVP and was also named a Walter Brown Award Semifinalist. The Walter Brown Award is given to the top American-born player in New England. Skating in 98 games for the Big Green, the 6-foot-3, 201 pound forward registered 32 goals and 40 assists for 72 points.
Prior to college, Foreman played for two years in the BCHL. Appearing in 108 games for the West Kelowna Warriors, the Norwood, Massachusetts native amassed 95 points, recording 40 goals and 55 assists. Foreman also helped the Warriors to a BCHL Championship during the 2015-16 season.
Foreman becomes the first new player the Fuel have signed this year, he was the fourth of five players signed by the Fuel lthis season.
