On Wednesday September 2nd, the Indy Fuel announced the signing of American forward Patrick McGrath. The two sides agreed to terms on a standard player contract for the upcoming season.
McGrath joins the Indy Fuel after spending last season with the Utah Grizzlies. In doing so, he played 18 games, scoring just one goal for a -4 rating. The 27-year-old forward also added on 86 penalty minutes.
Throughout his seven-year career, the right winger has appeared in a total of 155 career ECHL games. In those 155 games, McGrath recorded seven goals along with eight assists for 21 points. He also added 618 penalty minutes.
The Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania native has also skated in 95 AHL games between the Scranton Penguins and Iowa Wild. In those 95 games, the righty has record three goals along with four assists for a total of seven points. He also adds 349 penalty minutes.
Before turning pro in 2013-14, McGrath spent two seasons playing with Prince Edward Island in the QMJHL. Appearing in 72 games with the Rocket, McGrath only scored one goal along with one assist for a total of two points. He also added 229 penalty minutes.
