Forward Seamus Malone Agrees To Deal With Indy Fuel

On Wednesday November 18th, the Indy Fuel announced the re-signing of American centreman Seamus Malone. The two sides agreed to terms on a standard player contract for the upcoming season. 

Malone appeared in 35 games with the Utica Comets in the AHL last season. There, he would tally five points, having scored four goals along with one assist. He added one goal and two assists in two games played with the Kalamazoo Wings last season. He did before he was recalled to Utica.

A native of Naperville, Illinois, Malone now enters his second year of pro hockey. So far, in the American Hockey League, the forward’s played in 41 games, racking up seven goals along with one assist.

Prior to making the jump pro, Malone spent four years playing with the Wisconsin Badgers in the NCAA. Through 143 games, Malone tallied 104 points, scoring 33 goals along with 77 assists. In his junior and senior seasons, he also served as the team’s alternate captain.

Now 24-years-old, Malone finished his senior season tied for first in points, racking up 26. The forward also tallied eight goals along with 18 assists in 37 games played.
