On Tuesday October 6th, the Florida Everblades announced the signing of American defensemen Nolan Gluchowski. The two sides agreed to terms on a standard player contract for the upcoming season. This will be Gluchowski’s first season with the Everblades.
Prior to signing in Florida, Gluchowski had spent time playing with the Idaho Steelheads and Toledo Walleye. In his two seasons in the ECHL, Gluchowski recorded 18 goals along with 40 assists for 58 points. Gluchowski helped guide the Steelheads to a spot in the playoffs in 2018-19.
Prior to making the jump pro, Gluchowski spent four seasons playing with the St. Lawrence Saints in the NCAA. During his time with the team, Gluchowski recorded 16 goals along with 55 assists for 71 points. The native of Wixom, MI was named in his senior year as alternate captain.
During the 2014-15 season, Gluchowski was also named to the NCAA (ECAC) All-Rookie Team. Looking at his junior career, Gluchowski played three seasons in the USHL. He spent two years with the Sri-City Storm before ending his tenure with the Sioux Falls Stampede. Gluchowski was named as captain for the Tri-City Storm in 2013-14.
