The Binghampton Devils have recalled goaltender Evan Cormier from the Adirondack Thunder. The move comes hours after the New Jersey Devils placed goaltender Louis Domingue on waivers. Cormier holds a record of 3-3-5-1 with a 3.22 goals against average and a .890 save percentage.
Bad Timing For Thunder
This call-up could not have happened at a worse time for Adirondack as they have three games in three days this weekend, starting on Friday as they take on the Brampton Beast to begin the weekend.
Eamon McAdam has played solid in his last two starts for Adirondack despite the fact that he gave up five goals in a game where he faced a total 51 shots. He will likely get the start on Friday night against Brampton and Sunday afternoon against the Reading Royals.
Thunder Need Goaltending Help
With a three game weekend on the horizon, Adirondack will likely go to Dylan Pasco as their emergency backup goaltender. Pasco has been the EBUG on several occasions for Adirondack, but hasn’t seen any action in any of the games this season. Expect Adirondack to sign a goaltender and then trade him or release him as soon as Cormier returns back to the Thunder. March 4th is also the re-assignment freeze, so Adirondack should probably invest in adding another goaltender for the long term.
