Captain Jordan Henry Announces Retirement From ECHL

Jordan Henry has been with the Beast for all of their ECHL seasons but one. Now, with the announcement of his retirement, the next season will be the second.”There has never been any Brampton Beast player in the team’s seven year history who more exemplified the character and leadership that we hope for from our team,” said President and General Manager Cary Kaplan.

Henry had a traveling hockey career before making his home in Brampton, Ontario. He played mostly between the AHL and the ECHL and a year before he arrived up in Canada, he was captain of the Florida Everblades.

Henry leaves with the most games played in the Beast organization. He was known as a natural leader who helped even current head coach, Spiros Anastas, with the transition to his role as bench boss. Henry played for 12 organizations in five different nations throughout his career.
