The Brampton Beast have signed Troy, MI. native Cameron Heath for the 2020/21 season.
This week will be huge for the Beast as they have promised on their social media that there will at least be one signing a day for the whole week. Their first day came with one signing and this being their third defensemen.
Heath has played for three ECHL franchises before making the move to Brampton, Ontario. He has played for Greenville Swamp Rabbits, Wheeling Nailers and the South Carolina Stingrays. In 40 ECHL games, he’s recorded two goals and six assists. Heath also had a strong college hockey career before making the jump to the ECHL.
He played for four years in the NCAA with Canisius College and recorded 78 points in those years that he was active. He even rose to assistant captain in his final year at the college in Buffalo.
This has been the fourth signing for the 2020/21 season and also the third defensemen to be signed to the Brampton Beast. The team has still yet to sign anyone who they have given a qualifying offer to. However, with this week, if the Beast’s social media are correct, we will see a minimum of four more players sign for the next year.
