This week has been a busy one for the Beast. They have signed new and young talent such as Cameron Heath and Slater Doggett. Now, on their third day of signings, the Brampton Beast have their second re-signing of the ECHL offseason with defensemen Brenden Miller.
This will be Miller’s fifth season in the CAA Centre. Although he is only coming back for his second season with the Beast, he has been in the OHL with the North Bay Battalion who were previously in Brampton. There, he competed for three seasons.
Last season with the Beast, he recorded 26 assists in 59 games. He is described as a player who is able to pass the puck at the correct times to force plays into goals.
Besides playing in the CAA Centre in four of his professional hockey seasons, he has played hockey in three continents and countries such as Slovenia, Sweden and Kazakhstan. Throughout his ECHL career, he has previously played for the Orlando Solar Bears, Florida Everblades and the now defunct Manchester Monarchs.
This has been Brampton’s sixth signing and their fourth defensemen so far this offseason. With only two more days that they will be announcing player signings this week, this may be the last defensemen signing Brampton sees for a little while.
