Worcester Railers Agree To Deal With Connor Doherty

On Friday June 10th, the Worcester Railers announced the signing of American defensemen Connor Doherty. Doherty was named recipient of the 2019-20 ECHL Community Service Player Award.

Connor is returning for his fourth year with the Railers in Worcester. Last season, he played 51 games, recording 11 assists along with 60 penalty minutes. In the previous 2018-19 season, Doherty played 52 games where he scored one goal along with eight assists.

The Holden, MA native is certainly a fan favourite and is expected to be a solid defensemen for the Worcester Railers when next season begins. The Railers are the ECHL affiliate of the New York Islanders in the NHL. As well, The Railers are also affiliated with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League.
