⭐️⭐️⭐️ – Jonathan Drouin

Whenever the Toronto Maple Leafs and Montreal Canadiens go face-to-face, it makes for some entertaining hockey and Saturday night was no different. The Habs came out swinging and ultimately defeated the Leafs by a score of 5-2. The Canadiens were led by Jonathan Drouin who scored two goals to help guide his team past their biggest rivals.

Drouin’s goals were both highlight real makers as they both came from breakaway opportunities. It was an important win for the habs who are sixth in the Atlantic Division, but are tied in points with both the Tampa Bay Lightning and Florida Panthers. The Atlantic has emerged as the toughest division in the league and every win counts for Montreal, especially when it comes against their biggest rivals.

⭐️⭐️ – Kevin Hayes

Up until the third period of Saturday night’s contest between the Columbus Blue Jackets and Philadelphia Flyers, the Blue Jackets looked just about ready to take home the W. Once the third period started, their luck completely shifted. The period started with the Blue Jackets scoring an early goal to make it a 4-2 game, but that would be the last time Columbus would score during the game.

The Flyers followed by scoring four unanswered goals to take the game by a score of 7-4. Kevin Hayes led his team to victory with one goal and two assists on the night. His one goal was a short-handed, unassisted goal which also served as the game-winning goal. Hayes helped his team come back and complete a wild comeback over the Blue Jackets and for that reason, deserves a star.

⭐️ – Roman Josi

In a hard-fought matchup between the Nashville Predators and Tampa Bay Lightning, the Predators came out on top with a 3-2 win which was established in overtime. The Predators were led by captain Roman Josi who was vital to each one of the goals the Predators scored on Saturday. In a 3-2 overtime win, Josi finished the game with a goal and two primary assists.

He scored Nashville’s second goal of the game which tied the game up and helped bring things to extra time. He scored on the power play off of a one-timer for what would be his fifth goal of the season. His three-point night brings the Predators captain up to 16 points in just 12 games played.
