⭐️⭐️⭐️ – Anders Nilsson
Despite a losing effort against the Dallas Stars on Monday night, Anders Nilsson had himself a great game. The Ottawa Senators goaltender stopped 41 of 43 shots, giving him a .953 SV% on the night. His 41 save performance was Nilsson’s third start of the season and was the second time where he had saved a large number of shots as he made 52 saves on 54 shots in the Senators overtime loss to the Vegas Golden Knights.
⭐️⭐️ – Michael Raffl
Michael Raffl and the Philadelphia Flyers had a game to remember on Monday. The Flyers offence put up an outstanding performance, especially in the second period which saw Philadelphia score four consecutive goals. Michael Raffl led his team in points with two goals and a primary assist. Raffl scored the Flyers third and sixth goals of the night and assisted on the team’s fifth goal which was scored by Oskar Lindbolm.
⭐️ – Vladimir Tarasenko
The St. Louis Blues handed the Colorado Avalanche their first regulation loss of the season in a 3-1 win on Monday night. Vladimir Tarasenko was involved in all three goals with a secondary assist on the Blues’ first goal, a primary assist on the Blues’ second goal, which turned out to be the game-winner, and scored the Blues’ third goal as well. In addition to that, Tarasenko had his first three-point night of the year and was named the first star of the game.
