I am a passionate fan of hockey who happens to be a New Jersey Devils fan. One of the things I'm most passionate about is seeing how players can begin to develop and become very successful hockey players. I was inspired to become an Amateur Hockey Scout for this site years ago when I watched my step nephew grow up playing hockey. I always watch the World Junior Classic tournaments and IIHF tournaments along with the Olympics. So I always like to search for the top high end talent out there. Meanwhile players like a Jesper Bratt can be found on the second day of an NHL Draft or an Andy Greene type player could go underrated and finding talent like that and evaluating that shows how vital scouts should be in the Hockey Hall of Fame under a new category I call "Scouting The Present to Future." I have a podcast of my own called Heads Up Hockey which started in August of 2019, and it is not just Devils hockey but all things hockey related. I had Anya Packer of the NWHL on to Cam Janssen, and Dave McCarthy. As a Massachusetts native I had on the NY Post's very own Mollie Walker talking Rangers and Islanders. I began writing for Pucks and Pitchforks back in 2019, and over time I got discovered by The Puck Authority who wanted a New Jersey Devils based contributor. I left to join The Puck Authority full time because I always liked the way staff and contributors are very well informed and a great group to work with. Along with that I was also asked if I could offer anything else and I offered covering NHL Draft Prospects. I keep a database from a notebook to Google Docs of Player reports, and I'm not afraid to critique players and how they should be properly managed or even what situations they could be best tailored for. Although English is my native language I speak and read in Spanish, and German. Utilizing German the past few years from Moritz Seider to Stutzle, and Peterka articles have been very helpful, and I did read an article in German about Nico Daws going on loan to the DEL in Germany.
