Allen Americans Sign Mackin, Iowa Reassigns Register And Sheehy

On Monday, November 30th, the Allen Americans announced the signing of
Corey Mackin to a standard player contract for the 2020-21 ECHL season.
Mackin became a free agent after initially signing with the Reading
Royals for the upcoming ECHL season. The 5’8, 168 pound forward was a
teammate of Allen Americans co-captain Jared Van Wormer at Ferris
State University.

In addition to a collegiate career, Mackin also played two seasons of
junior hockey in the BCHL. His standout season was his
second in which he scored 50 goals and tallied 54 assists in 58 games.
Mackin has played in 70 ECHL games totalling 52 points with 21 goals
and 31 assists.

The Allen Americans have also announced that the Iowa Wild have
reassigned ECHL Rookie of the year runner up Tyler Sheehy as well as
three-time Kelly Cup Champion and former defenseman of the year Matt
Register to Allen.

The Allen Americans officially open training camp on December 1, 2020
and the Americans home opener will be Friday, December 18, 2020.
