The Montreal Canadiens held their final training camp session on Tuesday with one notable addition in defensemen Cale Fleury. It seems as if he will likely join the Canadiens taxi squad.

According to CapFriendly, the Canadiens assigned Michael McNiven, Cayden Primeau and Vasili Demchenko to Laval. This means that Charlie Lindgren will be joining the taxi squad as Montreal’s third goaltender. They also assigned forward Jordan Weal and first-round draft pick Kaiden Guhle.
The Canadiens will open their season on Wednesday at Scotiabank Arena against the Toronto Maple Leafs. Puck drop is set for 7:00pmET and is available for viewing across the nation on Sportsnet.
